For our business partner xTension Inc., we develop and provide an XR service that allows private rooms and spaces around the world to be used as live venues, enabling live experiences free from the constraints of time and place. (Not offered as of , due to a reorganization of our business portfolio following the sale of part of our business.)
Bringing physical interactivity to live streaming
By scanning a QR code with a smartphone and launching the service, users can send actions linked to the shaking motion of their smartphone to a video being streamed on a projector or in a browser, and have those actions displayed on it.
With this service, physical interactivity can be added to video streams of a wide variety of live events.
Diverse use cases beyond music concerts
- With a projector installed at the live venue and footage from the venue streamed over the web, viewers can shake their smartphones like penlights to display emotes on the venue’s projector or to move 3DCG modeled on a virtual venue.
- By showing footage from the live venue on a screen in a karaoke room or similar space and doing the above, you can create a space where people can enjoy a simulated live experience without worrying about those around them.
- Beyond music concerts, the service can also create communication with streamers that involves physical interactivity in game streaming and live commerce.
- At other events (such as exhibitions), it can also provide entertainment with physical interactivity to both on-site visitors and remote participants.
